Rain Drop

Rain drops

Big droplets.

Falling almost lazily

from the pregnant clouds.

Imagine if you will,

that you can slow the flow.

Not lessen.

Not reduce. Simply slow down the speed,

until the drops stop;

hanging still in the air.

And carefully,

you can walk among them;

weaving through,

like a giant amongst the stars:

each drop shining,

glistening,

still moving within its own clear skin.

You move through

the curtains of twinkling globes,

each its own crystal ball,

waiting to show you:

a different inverted image,

a different view.

What life does each marble hold?

Microbes and dust.

Chemicals and pollution.

Both dissolved and in suspension.

All around you is a vast air-filled chandelier! When you are ready,

find cover:

a doorway,

an umbrella, or not!

Maybe get ready

to feel rain on your face.

With a click of your fingers

movement returns;

droplets falling,

bouncing,

splashing,

flowing away.
